W.D. Tire Warehouse was established in May of 1985 by James "Woody" Woodward and Doug Reed. Our operation started in a 14,500 square foot warehouse located at 530 W. Spring Street, Columbus, Ohio, until May of 1999 when we moved our warehousing operations to an 8 acre, 74,000 square foot facility on the east side of Columbus at 3805 E. Livingston Ave. This enables W.D. Tire Warehouse to provide you with better and faster service, and a better selection of products available. It has also set a solid foundation for W.D. Tires' growth in the 21st century.

Both Woody and Doug's Firestone background, in excess of 28 years, has helped to propel the company into what it is today; however, not without the help of many experienced and dedicated tire personnel. Today W.D. Tire Warehouse consists of 55 employees with combined experience of over 500 years in the tire business.

In 1985 when the company started, our extensive background with Firestone helped us to establish our selling and servicing of Firestone products in Ohio. Over the years we have added other quality tire brands including Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal, Bridgestone, Dayton, Fuzion, Carlisle, Continental,  General, Goodyear, Dunlop, Kumho, Mastercraft, Cooper, Roadmaster, Titan, Primwell, and Yokohama.

In June of 1991, Woody and Doug to establish what is now Convenient Tire Service, "The Mobile Tire Store." This is a very unique business that is totally mobile, currently operating out of two mobile box service trucks. The trucks are fully equipped with generators, providing power to computerized wheel balancers and the latest in rim clamp tire mounting equipment. This service can replace tires on your vehicle in your driveway, at your place of business, or on the side of the road, without you having to take time out of your day to visit a retail tire store. We anticipate adding a third fully equipped truck in the near future. We are also always on the lookout for quality people, for this unique and specialized operation.

In March of 1996, W.D. Tire Service Center was opened at 1515 Alum Creek Drive in Columbus, Ohio. As of November 1, 2004, our service center was moved to a much larger and newer facility located at 4855 Groveport Road Columbus, Ohio. W.D. Tire Service Center specializes in all facets of the commercial tire business, including contractors, independent truckers, truck fleets, MEGA truck fleets, and industrial and large OTH (off the highway) business, but the store also handles walk-in retail customers. Jeff Ralston is our manager with assistance by Joel Looney, along with Nancy Lapointe as office assistant; with an outside sales staff featuring Joe Bergman, Daryl Sweazy, Kristen Schleper, and Richie Smith. The Service Department is managed by Dwane Haggie with assistance by Cindy Reed and the entire hardworking team of technicians. We are also on the lookout for good employees to add to this exciting environment.

In April 1999 W.D. Tire Warehouse, has a founding member of Best-One, helped to establish our Best-One brand. We also have established a wholesale Best-One marketing program for our wholesale dealers.
